Well, everyone, the Mono-Tasking Challenge was over yesterday (man, doesn’t a week fly by?!) How’d you fare?
I had my rough spots: I didn’t feel like writing much; initially, I hated writing without Internet Explorer going in the background. I was pretty resistant to change.
But once I got started, I also found some great benefits: increased focus, greater ease in my writing, and I tapped into flow again! Hooray!
Wonderful benefits, yes, but I feel like it’s just the tip of the iceberg. I don’t have much else to say about it – so perhaps a week isn’t long enough.
It wasn’t for me, so I’m gonna keep going. For the rest of April, when I write, I will ONLY write. I definitely need more focus in this area, so I’m very interested to see how a whole month of mono-tasking will affect my writing.
What do you think? Was a week enough for you to see a difference? Or, like me, are you just kinda “meh?”
If you’re feeling whatever about it, I encourage you to consider prolonging the experiment. The benefits of mono-tasking have been proven – why not give it an extended trial?
I hope you’re with me! Let’s find focus together.
For now, have a peaceful day. Much love!
Peace, love and a steaming cup of Zen,
- K
